100 Days of Peace
100 Days of Peace is a project of the Catholic dioceses of Brentwood, Southwark and Westminster (Education Departments, and Justice & Peace Commissions), alongside Pax Christi, London Citizens, More Than Gold and the 2012 Office of the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales.
It revives an old tradition that allowed athletes to travel in peace to and from the games - today the need for peace across the world, in communities and homes is still very much with us.
As part of this project the Justice & Peace group invites all parish groups and parishioners to mark this special time in unique and different ways.
Perhaps your group would like to light the Peace candle and invite others to pray with you in a particular way or for a particular need.
We will be having an information evening at the beginning of February for everyone that wants to get involved, in any way, big or small.
In the meantime please let us know of your ideas.

8th June - The '100 days of peace' begins
16th June - 'Lets Celebrate the Environment' - Walk, Mass & Picnic in Thorndon Park for all parishioners
6th July - The Olympic torch will be passing the gates of the Cathedral
13th to 20th July - The Pax Christi Icon will be in the Cathedral Parish 21st September - 'Peace One Day'
