Papal Benemerenti Medals

During his last mass in the parish on Sunday 27 September, Fr Bill invested two parishioners with the Papal Benemerenti Medal

Tom Carr and Sheila Deed are seen above with Fr Bill after receiving the medals which are given to parishioners in recognition of long and exceptional service to the parish

Tom has been a regular stalwart of the Cathedral for many years and leads the group of ushers who provide such an excellent welcoming ministry to parishioners

Sheila has been particularly devoted over many years to looking after the small group of parishioners who provide the wonderful flower arrangements which regularly beautify the Cathedral
